Aunt Millie's 90th Birthday Party

We were fortunate enough to be able to attend Aunt Millie's 90th birthday party before we left CA. It seemed that for many years, the only time the Terranova's got together was for a funeral. It wasn't like that in the past, but with everyone's busy lives, it's been really hard to coordinate schedules and get everyone together. Last year, our cousins threw a party for Uncle Roland's 90th birthday and then this year, a party for Aunt Millie's 90th. I can't express enough how wonderful it has been to get together with the family for a happy occasion. It's also been nice for Jay and the girls to get to know the extended family. I joke with Jay that after meeting the whole clan, he can better understand why I am the way I am. We are a large group (in quantity, certainly not in size, we are a bunch of shrimps), that are very loud, talk with our hands, tease each other constantly, and hug and kiss relentlessly and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Aunt Millie had a great time at her party and was beaming from ear to ear. It was our last chance to see everyone before we left and we enjoyed every second. Thank you to Jim and Alma for throwing such a wonderful event and for everyone that pitched in. The food was incredible (as it always is at our parties) and I know it meant the world to Aunt Millie.

Happy birthday boobie! (Aunt Millie always used to call me boobie when I was a little girl)
